Well not a new toy as I had it for over 1 year now. I bought this along with many other toys last year when I was in Tokyo.

Manage to install this, but had a good chance to audition it, but it does look the part with the Trasfig Temper W ^__^

朋友,

as requested ......

I recently glued back one of my MIDAS Paratrace stylus. The cantilever was snapped off by an overseas friend at the same spot where I glued before. Hence the glue point is now even bigger than before. I guess cantilever mass is higher now and the Evil Kong joked that the damping factor is non existence ! @[email protected]

Nevertheless, it actually sounds pretty normal and if I did not mention it, I would be amazed if you could tell @[email protected]

The gluing process was not easy, gel superglue, slow setting allowing slow but meticulous alignment setting of the stylus profile under a professional microscope. At the same time, I need to check to ensure the SRA was also as close to normal as possible - so checking at 2 planes. The process took probably 30 mins and not easy to do IMHO.

Xiamen has become very vibrant place and even areas which are zoned off as pedestrian only ! tourism is high especially with the roots of the Fujian people from far a wide and of course from Taiwan. Sometimes I feel almost localised with find my way round and I certainly feel its a very safe place to visit, but of course there are spots where you just have to be careful - local transport terminals. The biggest change I notice was Taxis - its almost impossible to get one in peak hour ! people have money and Taxi drivers only drive one direction ! We should be grateful for our Taxis in Hong Kong.

street food in Xiamen is almost like being in TaiPei and obviously this is where the influence comes from. Having spent many visits to Xiamen, I am quiet familiar where to go and what to eat, and I do like street food !

Oh man, TESCO, this was my major entertainment when I was studying in UK. There is a gigantic TESCO within walking distance at the ourskirt of the campus. I went there every weekend to grab my food.

Shame, there was no 腸粉 at TESCO.

Much better than the ugly dirty looking 125 introduced long time ago in UK. One of the first high speed train in UK back in the 80's. 125 stand for the max miles per hour, not km.

A few days after the terrible rail disaster, I was traveling on the new high speed rail. Did I worry ? not really - I think it was possibly the safest time to travel given the alert from the highest authority. However things did look rather quiet on the platform and station. Very enjoyable ride, fast, comfortable and even comparable to the bullet train in Japan which I have also tried. The high speed rail is a major infrastructure project and it will change the face of China linking all major towns and cities. The train tickets are very affordable as well !

Last night I was with some good friends and some new friends enjoying some rather fine cuisine. The dishes reminded me of my recent trip to Xiamen - while it is not Szechuan provence, Szechuan food is prominent everywhere. However what is real Szechuan food, well last night I felt this is as close or possibly better in some circumstances than some of the Szechuan food I have tried.

The preserved egg is among the best I have tried. The yolk was just sublime and brings back memories of earlier travels in China when I did the Beijing Guangzhou trip by train in 1986. Food could be bought from the train windows as you stopped at stations and one of the places I bought preserved eggs from the locals

I think this just shows vinyl is here to stay ! I would not be surprised that their price is as competitive as the current Koetsus.

Nevertheless, a very interesting story on how a guy from Europe can pretend to be a Japanese company all those years ago.

I wonder if a Hong Kong brand can pretend to be German @[email protected]

Talking about Kiseki in the other thread, it seems like Kiseki is once again making cartridges.

Take a look at the following website, some interesting read in the “Kiseki, The Stories” section about the relationship between Kiseki and Koetsu. It is a bit vague, but it seems to say that the Kiseki, while made in Japan, was not by Dynavector, at least not in their regular facilities.
