The look of this mega $ TT is quite 無文化。I think that price could afford you 6-8 units of this in different color and flavor, then 一字排開 would be far more tasteful than just one ugly block of man-made thing.

The truth is, I love 80's UK turntables much more lor. Most came with their own thoughts and principals on LP hardware, Those were the peak of LP development. Ironically , the one thing I dislike in the late 80's was the decline of LPs.

Why are you showing me cheap inferior turntables ? @[email protected]

First of all Corian is a "no no" terrible material for turntables and it will sound like a kitchen sink. The microscope probe is not powerful enough - it needs to be at least 400X magnification in order to reach entry level professional grade.

Only 2 PABST motors ? what an embarrassment ! my old VOYD had 3 PABST already ! given this is a belt drive, already it is doomed !

MU layers the platter is I guess what they are saying ......now would you need them ? unless the platter material generates EMF ? they is usually caused by having the motor under the platter @[email protected] now the Alphason turntable I have already has MU shielding 8^)

That tonearm is real bad, I man SIR CP would not use such cumbersome arrangement with such gearing. I am sure for that kind of money everything could be air bearing floated, arm pod, platter etc. No Vacuum platter ..... ?

Now take a closer look at the accessories - that clamp ! OMG its a Audio Technica ! even Clearaudio Statement Clamp is USD 900 !

The cartridge is an embarrassment, its a SHURE - they could of at least fit a cheap MC like DENON 103 ! rather than MM. I guess no cartridge manufacture wants to be associated with this turntable @[email protected]

Never mind the whole look and feel is a disaster !

Setting up a turntable require so much concentration, patient, detail minded, knoweledge and practice. And because of that, It takes my 9 to 5 pressure off so much. Play a Miles, kind of blues and a glass of Cloudy Bay. Simple ah!

Got my old Linn set up again. Last had it was 6 yrs back with an Ittok arm. After hearing icefox PU2, cant help to get my own on the Linn.

icefox, I found the sound very open but is bit flat. Tried with Van den Hul MC10, Denon 103R, Ortofon Kontr.b. Finally settle with a fairly new MC30 Superme.

For set up. I use mostly the Hi Fi News testing record and a Cardas Sweeper Record. Anything new in the market?

回覆 (1345): MONO is back !
That's right folks, even the iphone has jumped on board with this latest gadget. I have tested the frequency response and if you couple this full range horn to your ear, it will go down to 30Hz enhanced by the port at the bottom while the highs roll off around 16KHz impressive stuff ! what is more important is the tone of the midrange I more lush than the 300B. I believe the horn flare chosen here is a hybrid between the traditional Tractrix and JMLC (Jean Michael LeCleac'h). The damping factor of the silicon used on the horns surpasses the bitumen used on the those ghastly GOTO horns. So you will get s superb clean uncoloured mid range.

If you are not hearing what I am hearing with these horns, then I think you will need a professional hearing test carried out.

My only moan about the sound is that well ...........you are only hearing digital @[email protected] however, download the "Record Player" App and you can add those beautiful ticks and pops to give you the awesome dynamic sound of vinyl 8^)

Now go and get yourself the perfect opportunity to hear the full power of MONO !!!

As mentioned, a friend from our gang just have his fischer's faceplate restorated by 'polish' instead of 'electroplating'. Is it good ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only good is your face plate is already engraved so therefore after polish you can ink fill. This kind of job is not too difficult, but certainly that faceplate looks like a very well done job !
