I understand that Russian Air traffic control still use all tube systems for communications and controls. The reason is that the tubes will not fail all of a sudden but decay over time, while transistors will pose more of a problem when they fail in comparison.

You are right about the 833 powerwise, problem is it works with lethal voltage that scares me off, call me chicken. If the russian 6C33 can work under low HT with large current to deliver power, might be this NASA tube can do something similar, say class A HT 500V, 500ma! Wow, am I out of my mind or just day dreaming?

Forget the NASA tube, just get yourself a 833A. It should be powerful enough, even in SE mode, for your MG3 :-)  
 
The only problem is to make an SE output transformer of that size which won't roll off the highs!

Hasn't got anything in mind yet, just curious what order of power this monster can deliver & other what conditions. God knows when this NASA tube might one day be on the market for manufacturers, perhaps even for us DIYers.

Another reason to use a tube amp and dump all ss amps. well it is at least space age technology. i wonder how it compares with a good 300B or more like 211^-^

As the first high data rate K-band transmitter to fly on a NASA spacecraft, the 13-inch-long tube, called a Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier, is making it possible for NASA scientists to receive massive amounts of images and data about the moon's surface and environment. The amplifier was built by L-3 Communications Electron Technologies in conjunction with NASA's Glenn Research Center. The device uses electrodes in a vacuum tube to amplify microwave signals to high power. I guess I am doing similar things with the on-off switch of my Premier One, though manually and in a much simpler configuration, with a view to ensure unimpeded current feed to the outrageous monster.  
 
Is there a sketch to show how your relays are connected, BTW, so that I may easily follow your steps without any hassle?

There were three dedicated heavy duty relay built inside the said power supply to ensure current could passing through without any flaw to the main amp for perfect sonic. Each consisted 3 pairs of switch normally it could done most of the on/off purposes of jobs, as demanding of me I preferred using two instead of one for sharing ones high current VIA. 3 pairs of switch were works as paralled as one,  
usually the more contact points the more power VIA and the lower resistance consist.  
 
First and second relays coils both connected as series type they individually conduct 3000VA for left and 3000VA for right channels transformers for guarantee the output level 1000 watt/20Hz at 2 ohm per-channel of power flowing to the loud speakers in a second continuity so this device was a must, the outlet taps of those relays were paralled consecutively controlling by the front panel power on/off small switch,  
 
The third one was for soft start purpose avoid rush current rushing into the main amp during power on, it can extent all of the components life and fault concerns.  
 
There also a similarity fourth relay operating inside the main amp against DC current flow to the loudspeakers while accidents.

Do they operate in parallel, or do they control separate circuits consecutively?

Whole of the case was hand made by me except those 2.5 inch side panels were made of 原件出油木 not Corian from my friend, its wooden colour were in browned in order to made the substances looks attractively I spray some fleck paint on it to impress heavy impact finish merely since 1993,  
 
A few days ago I replaced its high-current-relays and cleaned up all the connnection portions for decade maintenance.

這是 Xono 的第一板。Pass 原來就是用 Dale 和 Panasonic, 只是感覺一下原裝料的聲音。我會再試多一板用 Holco, 之後會改 Holco 和 Philips.
