So what do I have here ?

Photobucket

Yesterday I went to City Super to buy my now annual Prime Rib, I was offered this

Photobucket

Just over 2KG Prime rib from Canada @ HKD 40 / KG this is a bargain compared to anything else. People do not buy Prime Rib as they do not know how to prepare it or cook it and tend to go for other steaks with no rib which will cost you at least twice as much per KG

Well 2KG is too big for me, I am at kindergarten level when I look at SIR CP, so I opted for this nice cut

Photobucket

just over 1KG and right at the bottom end of the Prime rib range with the smallest piece of rib, maximum tender meat ........ I will prepare this for Christmas dinner for my family to enjoy ........

don't worry Master Kong, for the Mono visit, I have something equally in size and weight for you ^__*

Not an disappointment at all, I love seeing your toys photography. I do look forward patiently to the time that I would have my lowly RMG 309 up and running with my SPU Gold Reference with the Garrard 301. This was a plan at least five years ago, if it's not you I would not know when would it be realized.

Thanks Jas for helping me to get my RMG 309 in order.

You guys make it a lot more fun.

That's why I let diawok tested it out, and he seems to be quite satisfied with its performance :-)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Doctor, your concerns are justified. I have not connected the switch box to the main arm and main setup before, but secondary turntables with 2 other arms and it did not think it interferer too much, but that chain of arms, cables and carts I would not consider as the optimal performance in my system. Even so the Supratek 2 phono selection, again is a switch mechanism - so is a selector a switch. I think finding the right connectors is key - it cannot be avoided in the Hi Fi Chain, unless we want a truly dedicated phono direct in with no connection and tonearm cables actually wired direct with no RCA or Balance. I think Walker has something like this for his phono.

Your most welcome to come and hear for yourself and also collect your Lenco ^__* . I guarantee you will love the sound of my system, it will be very crispy and fragrant ^__^

>i always find that interesting. wouldn't that box reduce the signal to noise ratio of an already low MC signal? have you compare performance between direct connection and switch box?<

Morning Dr King,

Yes, that is exactly what I feared, and, at least in theory, we should minimize the number of connections/switches between the cartridge and the phono.

That's why I let diawok tested it out, and he seems to be quite satisfied with its performance :-)
